I’m a “big-boned”, curvy Hispanic woman who has been fluffy since my late twenties. I don’t make the best food choices and I should know better.
I have tried some form of Weight Watchers the last few times… first was with WW meetings at work. I actually lost 20 lbs – I went from 180 lbs to 160 lbs.
And then I got lazy… and the weight came back on. I got over 200 lbs. for the 1st time in my life. So I renewed my online Weight Watchers membership and download the app for my iPhone. And I lost 20 lbs again (206 lbs. to 186 lbs).
And yup, here I am again, back at over 200 lbs. My pants are tight, my face is round & puffy and have been feeling worse in general digestive tract health. I take that as a sign of protest from my body. Throw in there feeling horribly tight and uncomfortable in all of my clothes, seeing the rolls of body fat grow and generally feeling much less energetic and less healthy, and I realized I had to do something. And I had to change what I had done in the past.
No more Weight Watchers, no more counting points, no more tracking… instead, I’ll be trying the paleo diet.
